Hi, I’m Julie. I offer:

  • Thoughtful, grounded care with depth and clarity.

  • A steady, respectful space for meaningful work.

  • Insightful, collaborative, and focused on real change.

My Approach

This work is deeply aligned with who I am. I connect naturally with people and am committed to honoring each person’s dignity with care and respect. I offer a nonjudgmental space where you can explore, process, and grow at your own pace. I value trust, respect, depth, and clarity, and these principles guide my work with every client.

My approach includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which I initially sought out for my own healing and found to be profoundly effective. That experience informs the way I integrate EMDR into my practice today.

My style is professional yet approachable. I tend to be more relaxed than formal, and I aim to create an environment that feels comfortable and genuine. Because I often work from home, you may occasionally see one of my pets in the background—something many clients find adds to the ease of the space.

Credentials

  • Master of Social Work (MSW), 2017

  • Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), 2006

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling / College Student Personnel, 1999

  • Master’s Degree in Liberal Studies (Women’s Studies concentration), 1999

With over 25 years of clinical experience and two decades specializing in EMDR, my work is highly focused on helping clients move through trauma efficiently and at a deeper level than traditional talk therapy.

A cozy living room corner with two gray upholstered armchairs facing each other around a small round wooden table with magazines on it. The room has a light blue wall with two framed maps of New York and Buenos Aires. There is a white floating shelf with decorative objects and a black round wall clock. A floor lamp with a white shade provides lighting. The floor is wood with a natural finish.
