Your Questions, Answered

  • I offer individual psychotherapy and EMDR therapy, including EMDR intensives, for clients in Ohio, Florida, and Michigan via secure online sessions. I have an office in Ann Arbor for those in the Washtenaw County area.

Therapy is a structured, confidential space for thoughtful self-examination and deliberate change. It offers the opportunity to clarify patterns, refine how you relate to yourself and others, and approach challenges with greater precision and flexibility. Rather than quick fixes, the work emphasizes depth, insight, and the development of durable ways of thinking, feeling, and responding.

  • I work primarily with high-functioning adults who are navigating the impact of trauma, anxiety, or longstanding patterns that feel difficult to shift despite outward success or stability. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable individuals who are looking for a deeper understanding of themselves and more sustainable ways of coping.

In addition to talk therapy, I also utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based approach that supports the processing of distressing or unresolved experiences. EMDR can be especially helpful when insight alone hasn’t been enough to create lasting change, allowing for both emotional and physiological shifts in how past experiences are held and experienced.

  • Fit is something we discover together. Feeling understood, comfortable, and able to be yourself is an important part of the process. The initial sessions are designed to help you get a sense of whether the connection feels right.

  • My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to each person. I draw from evidence-based methods while staying flexible and responsive to what feels most helpful for you in the moment. The relationship itself is an important part of the work.

  • I have contracts with BCBS, Aetna and FrontPath through 8/1/26. After that date I will no longer be a provider and I will not work directly with insurance companies.

As of 8/1/26, I will be an out-of-network provider, which means payment is made at the time of service. I’m happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits.

  • Sessions are typically 55 minutes. Most people meet weekly, especially at the beginning, though we can adjust frequency based on your needs and goals over time.

  • I ask for 48-hours’ notice for cancellations or changes to your appointment. Late cancellations or missed sessions are charged at the full session fee.

  • Yes. What you share in therapy is kept private, with a few legal and ethical exceptions that I’ll review with you before we begin. Confidentiality is an important foundation for our work together.
